Presentation Review
Our dry run presentation went poorly. The days before the presentation we had not had enough time to practice what was to be said during the presentation nor did we work together and familiarize ourselves with what was on the powerpoint. This resulted in our group not being very confident during our presentation, having to look back on the slides, and looking confused on some slides and their information. After completing our dry-run presentation we immediately began taking notes of others presentations and researching past presentations to create a better final presentation. We also began discussing our plans for the presentation such as what pictures, and documents were going to be needed and who would be discussing what. This included reducing our problem information slide, adding our concept sketches and market pricing.
Advisor
Our advisor was Dr. Jathan Austin, a teacher at Salisbury university with a Ph.D in mathematics and computer science. During our first meeting with Dr. Austin we presented our initial design, problem and potential market to which he agreed were all excellent ways of solving a real world problem. He was also able to open our eyes to a potential market besides our original which was campers. He stated " This is something people who go camping could also use do to its small travel size and the amount of utensils it carries"
